WEEK 1

Welcome to Week 1 of What We Can do to Preserve Shark Populations off the East Coast! This week, we will be exploring the different shark species that make Canada their home or at least spend lots of time here. First, we will be covering what animal endangerment and why we should be learning about endangered animal species. Next, we will be discovering which shark species choose to live off the Atlantic (East) Coast of Canada, and why they make the east Coast their habitats. Fun activity time: we will be making shark puppets as we learn about sharks! On the last day, we will have a guest speaker from Sharks of the Atlantic Research and Conservation Centre have a Zoom session with us to discuss the different shark species off the East Coast and explain things like how sharks interact with people and other forms of marine life.
